Say it louder for the people in the back!

Or don’t – with less honking and quieter streets, you don’t really have to.

Ten months in, congestion pricing in NYC is working, MTA says
Congestion pricing has been in effect in Manhattan for 11 months and counting. The MTA says traffic is down — and revenue is up. But President Trump is still threatening to terminate the plan. NBC 4 N...

As everyone knows, it’s definitely a good idea to launch a totally real new product during the busiest season of the year. Totally believable that this definitely real and new system will launch right before Thanksgiving.

Low-income seniors to get long-promised housing on city-owned land if Mamdani makes good on campaign promise.

The amNY reporter is very active in Middle Village NIMBY Facebook groups, and she’s very clearly trolling for one sided comments about IBX. All this type of coverage does it make these people look provincial and close-minded. Their version of NYC lost at the ballot box last Tuesday.

The #CursedRoute is now taking a 75% hit starting Tuesday.

The schedule has IAD-LGA operating the 10:12 pm Monday flight and the E175 sits at LGA until 2:55p Tuesday. Never thought this route could be even more cursed than usual, but United found a way.

We all rightly hate his guts but any analysis about the mayoral race that doesn’t spend many paragraphs exploring how literally Andrew Cuomo, a former governor with 100% name recognition and a stubborn level of popularity among certain voters, affected the race is bad commentary.
Damn, I hate it when things that happen mean nothing :-(

My take: implementation of Zohran’s policies is a tall order, *but* Tuesday’s election results themselves will help from practical and political standpoints. Not only did the housing ballot measures pass, I think it shows Hochul she has to worry more about leaving behind Zohran voters than Stefanik
After a historic win, now comes the hard part for Zohran Mamdani: Governing New York City - Epicenter NYC

The final ridership numbers for last week are in, and Wednesday's total ridership clocks in at 4,601,948.

That's new post-COVID number to beat, and the first day above 4.6 million since the first week of March 2020.

Would also put failure to prioritize Northeast Corridor investments; implement any sort of national design guidelines/benchmarks for transit and commuter rail on this list; and dumping the electrification report on the way out the door instead of making it an actual priority.
Sorry, but a lack of support for autonomous vehicles is not among Sec Pete's biggest missed opportunities at USDOT.

For instance:
🔹 Failure to stop Tesla from lying about Autopilot, FSD, etc
🔹 Failure to curb car bloat
🔹 Continuing to spend fed $$ on highway expansions that won't fix congestion

In perhaps the best example yet of real estate brokers saying things about Mamdani’s election that are totally detached from market reality and just trying to drum up brokerage business for themselves, this guy is claiming it’s both a great buying opportunity AND a great selling opportunity.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that a big piece of Mamdani’s campaign was simply “cities are cool and lots of people enjoy living in them” which in and of itself dismantles alot of rightwing talking points

800+ flights cancelled today because Elon took a chainsaw to the federal government and Trump won’t pay the remaining airport personnel.

Elon’s on his way to becoming a trillionaire.

Trump’s net worth has more than doubled inside a year.

Glad everything worked out for them.

How about you?

One thing the mayor-elect could do between now and January 1 is to call on Kathy Hochul to veto the bill on her desk that would ban one-person train operations in the NYC subway. Mamdani was absent the day of the vote, and banning OPTO is incompatible with lower cost (or free) transit.

I had to delete an earlier post of my regarding the bill on Kathy Hochul's desk banning OPTO in New York State. I had some information wrong so I'm going to repost it in a new post.
