I think it helps to know that the term "filler episode" as used in modern fan parlance *originally* encompassed ALL eps not directly adapted from the (usually manga) source material. This included whole "plot heavy" story arcs! And a "pointless" beach episode from the manga would NOT be "filler."

"Filler" was things like the long, involved, Bount Invasion arc in the Bleach cartoon, something to show on tv *while the manga put out more chapters* it was not "anything in any show that didn't move some impossible definition of The Real Plot along.'

Shows that aren't direct adaptations of other media do not HAVE "filler episodes!"

I'd say it's hard to walk back the optics of shooting a suburban mom in the face, lobbing a concussion grenade at a toddler, and sending a bunch of paramilitary goons door to door asking for papers.

The fact that thousands of Minnesotans continue to show up day after day and night after night to protect their communities knowing ICE agents are a hair's breadth away from murdering them is a fucking testament to their bravery, empathy, and resolve. America has not earned it, but there they are.

Abolish ICE and abolish the entire notion that any badge gives a human the right to do this to other humans. Sure, it would be murder if you or I did it, but Badge Man, he has a BADGE.

(well he doesn't actually because he's secret police. metaphorical badge. the murder-permission is the real badge)
🚨WHOA. The El Paso Medical Examiner says it will rule the death of a 55-year-old Cuban man at ICE's "Camp East Montana" tent camp as a homicide.

He was allegedly choked to death by a guard during a "struggle" after he refused to enter a housing unit without his medications.

This is what’s destroying me about Dem leadership calling for protests to slow and chill. There are numerous cases where the Feds stop committing illegal acts only BECAUSE the protesters showed up. The narrative about Feds committing illegal acts because of protesters is fully, completely backwards.

remember, a college student who gets an F because she wrote "because Jesus says so" in an essay she didn't do any reading for is tyranny but a dean losing her new job because of her beliefs is freedom. what are you not getting about this.
The University of Arkansas's law school just withdrew the appointment of its new dean six days after hiring her because conservative politicians complained that she filed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court in support of transgender students
