My previous laptop had Win11 Pro and the new one came with 11 Home, which I honestly didn’t care about except that I got activation key hassled after swapping the boot SSD.
Spent six hours trying to figure out a workaround to downgrade without having to blank my existing installs/settings…

Shortly after the Kid moved in with us, she got some Pokemon stickers in a happy meal. She asked which was my favorite, I said pikachu, and she put a sticker on my laptop.
Since then, I put one on in the same place every time I get a new laptop.

It went well though I had to download some drivers using my reserve machine and bop them over with a XHD.
I thought the next tier GPU might be an issue but the wireless/bluetooth adapters ended up being the requisite hassle.

Started prepwork for the transplant operation when the replacement laptop arrives today.
Didn’t bother pulling out the SDDs yet because I have two identical ones in there and need to compare that to the configuration in the new machine so I put then in the correct slots.
