Kat Abugazeh’s campaign has crossed a threshold where the risk she’s taking is significant enough and the actions admirable enough I sorta am past caring if it’s a publicity stunt/brand building exercise or not, it’s still brave and worthy of respect.

@tdougmadsen.bsky.social I'm not sure if you are familiar with Robert Evans, but his admiration means something to me.
i can't claim to know Kat as well as I'd like but there's never been a shred of doubt in my mind that she believes what she says and is willing to put her body on the line for that belief. I admire her.

It's looking more and more that Platner isn't being honest about what's going on with that tattoo. And with how Dems were burned with Fetterman, voters are gonna be more careful. He's most likely cooked. I just hope someone young steps up to challenge Mills so another elderly person joins the Senate
The more evidence mounts that Platner is lying, the more convinced I become that he is lying not only about his past but also about his current views.
CNN confirms that multiple sources suggest Graham Platner knew his tattoo was a Nazi symbol years prior to launching his campaign — and is now blatantly lying about it.

Two weeks ago, we at WIRED published a video showing how a hacked casino card shuffling machine can be used for undetectable cheating in poker. Now it turns out the mob and a couple of NBA stars were already (allegedly) using exactly this trick to make millions. www.wired.com/story/how-ha...
How Hacked Card Shufflers Allegedly Enabled a Mob-Fueled Poker Scam That Rocked the NBA
WIRED recently demonstrated how to cheat at poker by hacking the Deckmate 2 card shufflers used in casinos. The mob was allegedly using the same trick to fleece victims for millions.

All those Democrats who endorsed Cuomo during the primary should always be made to feel terrible for supporting a guy who is now begging for Republican voters.
Andrew Cuomo pleaded with Republicans on Friday to abandon Curtis Sliwa, their nominee for mayor of New York City, and said it would be nearly impossible to win if he did not drop out. Sliwa said he was not going anywhere.
Cuomo Ramps Up Attacks on Sliwa as He Hunts for Republican Votes
The morning after the first mayoral debate of the general election, Andrew M. Cuomo said it would be nearly impossible to win if Curtis Sliwa did not drop out. Mr. Sliwa said he was not going anywhere.

one response to this (correct) observation is to say “well, the cops will attack you no matter how you dress and behave.” that’s right. images of cops and ICE beating grandmas and kids in inflatable frog costumes is a win for the opposition.
one of the reasons they're so mad at "no kings" is that they thought they were going to get a different kind of protest. they *want* the black bloc to be out there fighting with the cops. those are the images they've been trying to generate from "go." instead--

MAGA Rage at “No Kings” Boils Over—and It Quickly Backfires on Trump
As Trump allies smear the coming protests, a good writer on MAGA skewers the absurdity of these attacks on large swaths of Americans—and explains why our best recourse will be to turn out in force.

I’ve been saying this for ten years now but possibly not often enough: Ask Them What They Think The Words They’re Using Mean. And then ask them to name the ‘problematic’ people. We had ‘sovereignty’, ‘laws’ & ‘unelected bureaucrats’. The US now has ‘Antifa’, the ‘radical left’ & ‘insurrection’. Ask!

ICE writing long screeds whining about someone from Cato calling out their bullshit shows how they know they're losing the narrative here. No one likes ICE. No one trusts ICE. And they're flipping out about how weak they look.
ICE says I cause assaults on ICE by reciting facts about ICE’s recent shooting but refuses to link to the thread. Only posting a picture. ICE lies and ICE hides. You can read the facts for yourselves

We're getting a wave of articles that are like, "gee willikers it sure seems like the people who complained about 'cancel culture' for years really like canceling people."

Yes! This was extremely obvious at the time and a lot of us pointed it out!
Some say canceling is an act of redress. Others blame it on a mob.

“People have used the word ‘cancel’ so loosely,” Ernest Owens author of “The Case for Cancel Culture,” said, “that everyone’s calling everything a cancellation.”
How cancel culture came for everyone
Few issues in recent years have united the American right as much as their professed hatred of cancel culture. That’s changing.

There are people on the Ezra Klein subreddit who seem to sincerely believe that the only way Democrats will be able to win again is for everyone to not be in on the internet. If you need that to happen, then you'll never win because you can't control every random person.

Centrists love to complain about how mean the left is, but you should see some of the mean stuff some of the folks on the Ezra Klein subreddit are saying. Some of it's just mean while some of it borders on racist. When they complain that liberals need to be less condescending and say this shit. Whoa
