Recently wife and I stunlocked a guy who works in the bleeding edge of AI (San Francisco) and asked him if, instead of putting AGI in a brain implant, he can just start with a consumer printer that works reliably. Genuinely he did not know what to say.

I love how much of that show was reclaiming the trite consumerist phrases you get in ads like “the only thing more powerful than hate is love” and “together we are america” to actually…make them mean something real

the cool part about the Dumbarton Bridge is you can bike from Union City BART along Alameda Creek and all the way out on the levee trails and just kind of be in the middle of the bay hanging out

the cost curve for BART service cuts is just absolutely brutal. Under any scenario, most of the savings from deep service cuts are just immediately cancelled out by reduced revenue because people stop riding
