After the fatal stabbing of UCSF social worker Alberto Rangel this month, UCSF is telling workers: Don't talk about the incident w/out an attorney.

The university said the instruction is "required by law" in the face of potentially costly litigation.

It's a little Christmas miracle: 12 Mission District tenants will be able to stay in their homes after a nonprofit bought their building last week.

The blackout is officially over: PG&E said Tuesday morning that power was fully restored.

And it's making amends: Residential customers will get $200 bill credits, automatically. Businesses, $2,500.

San Francisco has a lot of sidewalk drains—those little 4x4 holes capped by small grates. A lot of them are uncovered.

One artist is on a mission to fix that—one 3D-printed character at a time.

On Friday, the federal judge Casey Pitts ordered a halt to courthouse arrests in Northern California and the Pacific Islands.

A final ruling on whether the practice can continue is expected in the coming months.

UPDATE: Power is expected to return fully across San Francisco by 2PM Monday.

Some 13,000 customers were still affected as of Sunday later afternoon. PG&E stood up a community resource center in the Richmond, & is offering free hotel vouchers.

Waymo said its cars were back on San Francisco streets Sunday afternoon, after earlier pulling its fleet out of service during the blackout.

About 21,000 San Francisco customers were still without power on Sunday, almost all of them in the Richmond District, after the PG&E blackouts.

There is no clear timeline for restoration. The substation fire that seemed at fault was "extensive."

Waymo has halted service in San Francisco after numerous videos & images showed its autonomous cars snarling traffic during the blackout.

Pedestrians are using flashlights to get around & restaurants have closed early. Kitchen staff are taking the bus or scootering home.

Patrons are dining by candlelight.

Elsewhere, Waymos are stuck, snarling traffic.

About 125,000 people are without power in San Francisco on Saturday, after PG&E suffered an outage affecting 30% of its customers in the city.

Vast swaths of the city were affected. PG&E said it was "possible" power would be restored later in the day.
