Mayor Daniel Lurie on Sunday made a last-ditch effort to stop the planned San Francisco educators strike tomorrow.

He asked both sides to come to an agreement today. Barring that, he pleaded for a 3-days' delay to the strike.

He was rebuffed.

It was, numbers-wise, a bit of a dud. But not a dull affair: a "We ❤️ you Jeffrey Bezos" sign, at least one polycule, & a participant arguing to "remove" journalists "as a class...just like Germany."

S.F.'s jail in SoMa had extremely limited access to hot water for all of January, according to a half-dozen incarcerated people and one jail staff member.

As a result, they said, many people stopped taking showers, exacerbating a feeling of filth.
