Autistic researcher with too many interests and no real intention of narrowing it down. Mostly AAC research at the moment. Sometimes a math teacher.

Not speaking on behalf of any companies/organizations here.

MeToo did not go far enough. People were saying "MeToo has gone too far" when it had barely just picked up momentum.

It was an attempt at reckoning with how institutionally misogynistic and sexually exploitative most institutions are and what women are constantly put through. So it was crushed.
This idea that #metoo was a temporary piece of insanity that happened because America was too woke...

Fuck you. It was a temporary moment in time when people decided, for the first time, that 20 women were finally equal to one man.

I see a lot of people speculating about how Alice died and I am asking you to...please not do that. If her family wants to share information about that on their own time, they will, but the speculation and sometimes outright conspiracy theories are actually really upsetting for them to see.

I would like to know why me doing my own weird little thing, not forcing it on anyone is me discriminating against conservatives’ faith and them mocking and physically attacking Methodist ministers isn’t discriminating against mine.
Also in here: DHS responded to the faith-led protest yesterday, calling participants “violent rioters” and “imbecilic morons” who need to “get a job.”

Asked about the statement, one UMC pastor who participated in the protest told me: "This is our job." religionnews.com/2025/11/15/a...

Incredibly, Delta’s awful request included test-to-exit. Instead of compromising, CDC gave Delta *more* than they asked for by shortening the window and *no test required*.

Also, sorry, one graphic has a higher %. I'm a bit worn thin. This one is accurate.

I've seen literary communities raise $2820 in an hour. Frequently. I know there are a lot of fundraisers, but we've been at this *8 months* for a Black woman owned small press; can we get a rally and close this up?

my wokest opinion is that land acknowledgements are fine. people knowing a little bit about the land you're on, even if one isn't invested in a land back project, is not particularly worse than the status quo, even if one comes by this info in a way that is somewhat cringe and forced
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: if it matters to your organisation, you have to fund it like it matters. If you don’t consistently dedicate resources to engaging the autistic community as an autism research institution, it shows in your output. We see it, and you.

Also: still autistic, still incredibly lucky to be one of the 22(ish)% of uni-educated autistic adults in employment, but no longer working in autism research because I couldn’t find a single community engagement role hiring, and even if I could’ve, I was unbelievably burnt out by the experience.
