Antoni Gaudí’s vision for the Sagrada Família, a church that’s been under construction for nearly 150 years, was never universally liked. George Orwell called the church “one of the most hideous buildings in the world.”
Is the Sagrada Família a Masterpiece or Kitsch?
In the century since Antoni Gaudí died, his wild design has been obsessively realized, creating the world’s tallest church—and an endlessly debated icon.
