"If you want to know who took all of your money, it's the people with all of the money."

I keep thinking about this post and how it's one of the best, most succinct messages Democrats could use in 2026 campaigns.
If you want to know who took all of your money, it's the people with all of the money. Famously, we know that's people working in child care.

Got stung in the armpit by a carpet anemone while reaching way into an aquarium to maintain it.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

Finally out! We studied the retinas of the longest-living vertebrate, the Greenland shark, and found that the retinas remain remarkably healthy in animals around 150 years old. What is the mechanism? It may be a highly efficient DNA repair system. Enjoy!

I enjoyed seeing these at the time and they are still awesome.
Today is the 5 year anniversary to when I slowly started losing my mind during the pandemic and began dressing up as works of art.

As my Twitter account has long been abandoned, why not make a thread of my madness on BlueSky?

I'm going to start 2026 out looking back at my fave art pieces I got done in 2025. I always feel like I didn't get much done, and that is always untrue.

First, a carved wood artist book reflecting on an impending loss of eyesight and how eyes work.

I survived! And, I created an AI-free art reference resource and found a great community around the effort. (Technically the site launched late 2024, but 2025 is when it took off.) I honed my photography skills and have taken over 30,000 photos this year as part of it. I’m really proud of all of it.

Ok, everyone, what book is sacred enough to you to get sworn in on?
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.
