There are so many moments in a teaching day where you can either dart to your desk to try and tackle a long list of to-do's OR you can intentionally move through the classroom to check-in and build rapport.

The latter makes a real difference over time, but of course there is that to-do list still..

Here is the spirit of the “neighborism” that is resisting Trumpism: Solidarity with those targeted by the regime is imperative. For we bear responsibility. We are not just all at risk. We are all implicated.

Sociology is the enemy of the powerful. That's why authoritarians always come for it.
I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.

Great work everyone.

Ok, so what you're saying is you agree w/ the vilest things he says & does, & you think your silence will protect you.

Sorry. It doesn't.

The end-goal of all of this is new Court ruling(s) requiring states to fund religious education if they fund secular public education (as all do).

They have the money to throw multiple cases and different legal theories at the Court.

Goal is first “may,” then “‘must.”
