Regardless, when we say we're not voting for them, the message we're sending is that it is the Democratic Party's responsibility to front candidates that can get the votes. They have to decide whether they believe Newsom/Buttigieg can win without us, or whether they want to find a viable candidate

And that's been what's wrong with so much of how NYT and other anti-trans media have approached this: they're acting like trans people are making demands for MORE rights when we're really mostly just asking for our EXISTING rights to not go away.
