“It is time to bury fossil fuels and build a clean, just future.”

Today, we symbolically laid fossil fuels to rest. ✊

Labour’s latest attack on asylum seekers is cruel & counterproductive. How does it help community cohesion to hold threat of deportation over vulnerable people? We don’t need an arms race with the hard right over asylum, we need safe routes & European cooperation #bbclaurak

Why was #CelebrityTraitors one big SUV ad?!

SUVs like the Defender are three times more likely to kill a child under 10 in the event of a crash, compared to a small car.

This form of advertising needs challenging. #AirPollution #RoadDanger

I was included in the @cyclinguk.bsky.social 2017 list of 100 women in cycling and am dismayed to see their transphobia.

The Supreme Court ruling may have enabled organisations to be transphobic but it does not mandate that.

Cycling UK can and should be as inclusive as they say they wish to be.

In the UK, SUVs accounted for 63% of new sales in 2024.

The proliferation of SUVs is one aspect of “carspreading,” whereby cars are becoming steadily larger over time and with this comes potential harms to health 🧵

🚨 BREAKING: The government has tabled their plan to restrict repeat protests.

Demonstrations could now banned based on the 'cumulative disruption' that previous protests have caused in the area - regardless of if they have been organised by the same people or not.

This is worse than we feared.

Even a big far-right vote couldn’t give the far-right total control, because the Dutch democracy promotes cooperation.

Here in the UK, just one-third of the vote could give Nigel Farage a huge majority of MPs.

Our democracy isn't fit for 21st-century politics. We need Proportional Representation.

Yes, it's scary for children on our roads. But putting a 20mph limit outside a school does NOT fix the problem. Children need a friendly, safer 20mph limit on their whole route from home to school. It's why 20's Plenty should be community wide.

The government backs Heathrow expansion — but it’s not all or most of Britain that wants to fly more.

Just 3% of people take 30% of all flights. A few frequent flyers get the perks, while everyone else gets the noise, air pollution and climate chaos.

This is the first time I’ve seen cross-app integration built to serve law enforcement instead of end users.

We are lagging behind our neighbours, and our children’s lungs are bearing the brunt. We need the Government to commit to reaching the WHO #AirPollution guidelines.
