Really interesting SD article specifically on the East Oxford LTNs, assessing support and opposition from those who live inside and on the boundary roads. It would also be interesting to see how this now looks given the Congestion Charge.

So how exactly are they meant to get to them? Many are placed in areas without accessible transport links. They can't afford to pay for journeys themselves because of how little support they get.
Yet again Labour choosing to pander to Reform than think of consequences.

Come and support independent businesses in East Oxford Saturday 6th December for the Magdalen Road Frost Fest, featuring carols (at 12 outside Caper), Santa's Grotto, and a fun apres-ski themed day at Missing Bean.

There will be a lot of other stuff going on from our lovely local shops.

Honestly could not be happier with this awesome gold vinyl iron-on bicycle that my friend @smeekings.bsky.social made for me. I have already had 3 compliments.

Couldn’t find anything long sleeved & sufficiently bike-branded so she fixed me up. 🥰

Took the new 3A route to the rail station today with all the family. Fast and direct, and made possible by the Congestion Charge. Buses seemed fuller, driver said CC had reduced congestion. Surprising I know.

Just on the new 3A route now going to the rail station and stopping for the second time to keep to timetable. Congestion Charge does seem to be working rather well. I think we will get data early in December.

Sorry to announce that submission #2 for #CargoBikeEmoji was unsuccessful 😔

No feedback provided from Unicode.

If current guidelines stand, will be 4 yrs before a 3rd time lucky proposal in 2029. This would be a great way to finish the #DecadeOfTheCargoBike

Arguably not my most compelling political speech, but my quest continues to allow Oxford to build stuff and not have it blocked by concerns about some arbitrary view from distant hills aka "view cones".

Disclaimer: not the only issue officers raised with the application.
Councillors at Tuesday’s meeting were split on the application. Cllr Emily Kerr, speaking in favour of the plans, spoke of “the idea that we can’t have kids using facilities for sports because somebody walking at some distance might see something”.
