There are some people who seem to see the recovery of ecosystems in a deforested waste as a personal affront. It's about power, and different landscapes reflect the different ways in which power is distributed - or concentrated.

I'm third from left in the pic below from yesterday, at a @defendourjuries.bsky.social action, sitting on the ground between friends in chairs, and the man far left in mustard clothing, my new friend Adam, was up to mischief, but making a very serious point. Watch: www.instagram.com/p/DRkQRFdjWMm/

Heading to our County Green group away day by bus (how else 🚌 🤩) and this is peak multi modal infrastructure:

♟️ Bollards
🚲 20 Sheffield Bike Stands (40 spaces)
👩‍🦽 Clutter free pavements
🚏 Bus stop
🪑 Bench

🌦 I'd just add a weather proof shelter, live bus information & some pavement improvements.

Outside the Royal Courts of Justice today, as the judicial review over the ban on Palestine Action began, approximately 150 people defied the ban.

Arrests took around 6hours to complete, with an estimated 140 arrests made.

Tory front benches equally furious at a tax on mansions and hundreds of thousands of kids being pulled out of poverty. Shameful stuff.

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

Cheering the two child limit ending isn’t patting Starmer’s Labour on the back or ignoring his record. It’s acknowledging 8 years of hard campaigning and ridding the country of a cruel, toxic policy. Half a million children won’t be hungry anymore. Celebrate today. Tomorrow, pick the next fight.

I FOI'd English councils whether they use legal land purchase powers to create traffic-free paths. Just 1% said they have successfully.

Why is something that's so common for roads almost never done for cycle routes? And what does it mean for cycling?

🔥🔥🔥 While everyone is distracted by other budget news, Labour have just announced that they will allow more drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea 🔥🔥🔥

Genuinely catastrophic for our climate and further proof that Labour care more about corporate profits than people or planet.

Alongside many campaigners, the Green Party have absolutely dragged the Labour Government to finally end the child cap.

Labour politicians disgracefully defended it for far too long.

This shows why the Green Party membership rising and rising matters.

❄️Unfreeze fuel duty
✈️End aviation's tax-free fuel status
🛩️Tax private jets

Incredible scenes.

This is so so frustrating!

Trains should have guards. Railways should get used.
Chiltern Railways has confirmed Oxford to Milton Keynes services will not start this year. The delay, first reported by the Clarion in September, has been picked up by national media this week. Chiltern says “We understand this will be disappointing to people looking forward to using the new route.”
