🌦 An extremely wet weather campaigning day, but a sunny reception on the doorstep!

🗳 Thank you to everyone who came to help get Ahalya Bala, @emilykerr36.bsky.social and @rosierawle.bsky.social (re)elected.
🍵 & to @chrisjarvisdiy.bsky.social for the spectacular lunch.

Playing “Waitin’ on a sunny day” on repeat as I look at the Oxford weather forecast for the next two weeks… 😭

Tomorrow is the last sunny day in forever – midday walks and basking essential.

🌱 And a very similar exchange in the @novaramedia.com @thisisyourparty.bsky.social conference video.

🎤 "If we don't have democracy, maybe I'll join the Greens instead."
You'd be very welcome!

🌱 I have several friends & colleagues who waited to see how the Your Party launch went this summer, were uninspired and chose to join the @greenparty.org.uk

🚣‍♀️ A huge welcome to this guy if/when he joins – he’ll find many people in a similar boat.

😅 a less relevant metric in this case imo but interesting nonetheless.
If you get round to doing it, let us know.
I am a bit busy making a godly amount of tomato and olive muffins for the Green Fair tomorrow.

Heading to our County Green group away day by bus (how else 🚌 🤩) and this is peak multi modal infrastructure:

♟️ Bollards
🚲 20 Sheffield Bike Stands (40 spaces)
👩‍🦽 Clutter free pavements
🚏 Bus stop
🪑 Bench

🌦 I'd just add a weather proof shelter, live bus information & some pavement improvements.

Aha! I have shame tagged Voi on Instagram.
I am sure they will now sort their nationwide mess out....

Another episode of "me moving scooters from blocking Divinity Road-Morrell avenue pavement".....

Voi: a) get on bluesky so I can shame tag you and b) sort this out! Stop making walking a hazard for my residents and others.

The latest @findoutnow.bsky.social poll has us second on 18%!

This is one poll, but even @politico.eu 's poll of polls has @greenparty.org.uk on 16%: only one point behind the Tories and two points behind Labour.

Incredible scenes.

To put it mildly: disingenuous of Oxford Labour to turn up to an anti racism and pro refugee march given their national party's racist and anti refugee rhetoric and policy...

I went to school in Salisbury and I am so proud of our extremley beautiful, completely ludicrous cathedral and its tiny foundations.

My dad: you need deeper foundations to get planning permission for an extension.

Medieval buildings are wild.

Brilliant to see these new cycle racks on St Cross Road full already!

Build it and they will bring bikes.

@politico.eu poll of polls (ie an average of different polls) still has is on 15%.

This was unthinkable a few months ago.
Look at that curve!

📈 Greens on *18%* in this latest poll!

🥀 3 points ahead of Labour. Still 15 points behind Reform.

🌱 Today, @findoutnow.bsky.social , tomorrow @yougov.co.uk

😎 Bets on when we reach 20%?

I'm really glad that my support for the congestion charge AND calls for improvements have been repoeted.

I will continue to advocate for permits per adult (not per car), heavier cars paying more and revenues to benefit other buses (rather than P&R).

V sorry to hear about the community bus.
By bringing buses back into public ownership with national investment to have a good bus network everywhere.

Scrapping the fuel duty freeze would raise a lot of revenue and cut emissions. Cost of bus&rail travel has risen much more steeply than car travel.

And here's the speech from my brilliant Green colleague, James Barlow (Wallingford).
I agree with all of it.
