I have asked at every company (EA, Ubisoft, Double Fine) I have worked for about their harassment protection policies for employees. NONE of them have one.

These 20 House Democrats just joined Republicans in voting to fully repeal DC's police reform laws.

Wiping off the books critical laws on use of force, transparency, and preventing violent cops from getting rehired.

They think that they should have more say over DC police than the people of DC.

The very day the NYT releases a well reported deep dive on some of what’s happening in the carceral system we get a Carville op ed demanding all that be ignored to praise and cheers.

Abolishing ICE is only the beginning. Have you looked at your local cops?

..

According to mappingpoliceviolence.us, police kill at least three people per day; from a meta analysis published in NYT, we now know the number could be six or even more.

Players are roleplaying in Fortnite to teach each other their rights when encountering ICE officials

“I would slip [the warrant] under the door, but there’s no space under the door,” the agent says.

The civilian pauses. “Well. Sounds like a personal problem.”

If ATL airport is rough for travelers, it's even worse for many of the workers. One of the people in my book, Cass, works the graveyard shift mopping floors and cleaning bathrooms.

She's kept at 29 hours a week because at 30 she'd qualify for health insurance and sick leave.

Folks forget that the ACA *was* the compromise position. It was never full on heal reform so much as health insurance reform, but it was what the political reality of the time permitted.

That said, Medicare for all, and let the shareholders answer to God.

My latest for Charlottesville Tomorrow on what I hope Charlottesville becomes in the next 20 years.

I spent seven years abroad going from city to city and watching how they embrace identity, history, and culture and see no reason why we can’t do the same.

It’s a big reason I came home.
