As someone who has been the target of explicit racial abuse and discrimination in the workplace, the idea that we can and should just let it be is laughably deluded

Just occurred to me if the 12 Days gifts are cumulative (I.e. on day three you receive three hens, two doves, and a partridge, in addition to the partridges on day one and two, and the doves on day two), you’d have enough to eat a bird a day for the entire year. 364 birds (minus Christmas Day).
