this is why i keep bringing immigration into talk of putting trans rights on the chopping block. backtracking on their pro-immigrant stance didn't save them in the last election & here they are trying to compromise with the gestapo. "sacrifice a little now so we can fight for you later," is a lie.
New Dems just released our Immigration & Border Security framework—a plan for how we can pass commonsense, bipartisan policies that fix our system & address the issues Americans care most about.

Everyday Americans also have identities I think
Speaking at a Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg criticized the Democratic Party for failing to reach everyday Americans, arguing that it “got sucked in” to a conversation about identity. #TribFest25

And now an "NYT opinion writer, Slate Money co-host, Dem messaging consultant, NYU prof" running interference by pretending that a bunch of NYT baseball stories about Theo Epstein count as "Epstein stories". How many of these journalist/multi-millionaire ghouls are there?
Hey genius - I literally just plugged those dates into the NYT search bar and got pages of Epstein stories. Maybe instead of being an arrogant dipshit, bother to check stuff before you repost it. And right back atcha.

One of the great slanders the colonizers perpetuate to this day is that the First Nations practiced child sacrifice and chattel slavery, thus the Maya and the Aztec "deserved" to be "civilized" by Western conquest
There's the material need the ruling class had for cheap labor but much of the justification for slavery internal to the ruling class is that you get to own people and the ultimate expression of white power in America is sexual assault - which is then stigmatized for the VICTIM, not the perpetrator.

My situation is very tight at the moment, so I'm asking for help. I hate to keep sharing this and hope that it will pass soon. Oh, do I ever.

Thank you so much to those who've helped! Anything means everything, even a boost, and I appreciate you all very much.

No one is coming to save us except ourselves
word is that multiple kidnappings were averted due to community action & patrols

Okay, I'm going to explain this slowly:

If Dems had voted for the CR two months ago, there would have been no worries about fed pay, or SNAP recipients getting food.

They did not, as a play to get ACA subsidies renewed.

Two months later, they caved, and got nothing.

Just my own two cents on Democrat politics. I think we should've seen the cave coming when, after the landslide election victories for Democratic candidates, the only people NOT celebrating were congressional Democrats. If they intended to keep fighting, they would've shown it on election night.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
