I was thinking how when Scott Adams was about to go and rightwingers were saying “you have no idea what impact it’s going to have when Scott Adams dies, he was loved by millions” and then he just died and nothing happened. These ghouls just disappear when they stop talking
Remember when Charlie Kirk got shot and the right was like "THIS IS CIVIL WAR!" and three weeks later he was completely forgotten about? That's going to be most all the rest of these assholes too

Hearing Keir Starmer has today told The Telegraph that Keir Starmer “has his full confidence”.
February 9, 2026 at 2:08 PM
Ok. Hypothetical:

You’re a decent man.

You find yourself in a position of power and come to have an adviser who tells you to enable a genocide, jail those who speak against it, attack immigrants and foreigners, attack the left, hire a paedophile, attack trans people…

What do you do?
Can I offer you a different perspective? I believe Starmer is a decent man - who listened to his advisor. That advisor was wrong. A failure of judgement. The world is in a dangerous place. This is NOT the time for a change of leadership but a time for strong, principled leaders to come together

hard to think of a better example of "you may not believe in class war, but billionaires know they're in one" than this
This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

My favorite artifact in the "you don't need AI to do art" discourse is, of course, screenwriter Dan O'Bannon's sketch of the facehugger to explain it to Giger.

We've had 6 incompetent PMs in a row. It's surely statistically improbable that this is pure bad luck and has nothing to do with our political culture/system or capitalism. But that's what we're being invited to believe.

Ending billionaireism isn't just socially and economically necessary to maintain human civilization, it's a humanitarian measure for the billionaires themselves. They're clearly very sick and we can help them

So, Epstein.

At the very least, the US, UK and Israeli governments knew what was going on, right?
