I've been a homeowner for only about six months, but already I am sick of subsidizing a bunch of freeloading Boomers.

If there were another ballot initiative permanently expelling everyone who signed this ballot petition from the state, I would gladly vote for it.
Such an asinine potential ballot initiative exempting 60+ from property taxes and no income limit, sponsored by Rishi Kumar, a former local Democratic elected.

"Kumar, declined to reveal his age and would only say he worked for an artificial intelligence company in Silicon Valley."
CA seniors could choose to opt out of property taxes under proposed initiative
“This has been brewing in our heads for the last two or three years,” said the person behind the measure.

If you saw today's headline that Gallup will stop measuring presidential approval, they did the same thing in 2018. They do it whenever Trump is president.

I am begging you all to stop getting pre-emptively angry about the outcome of the 2028 Democratic primary in 2026. go campaign for someone you deem worthy or just go outside. please.
tbh nobody should be asking leftists if they'll support newsom and leftists should mostly brush off the question. it's a divisive trap that serves *only* newsom's personal interests. he isn't the candidate, he's a shithead and nominating him would be a bad idea. useless hypothetical.

NEW: The F.D.A. refused to accept an application from Moderna for its mRNA flu vaccine.

Its reason: The agency did not think Moderna compared the new vaccine to one of the best flu shots available. The company spent $750M+ on a 41,000 person study.

It is absolutely outrageous that Moderna’s flu vaccine was met with a “refusal-to-file” even after their approved their protocol with FDA and carried out the trial as agreed. This vaccine works better in older adults than the current flu vaccines.

lord help us, we're headed for another round of "engineers are deficient humans because they didn't take enough liberal arts classes" discourse

(don't @ me, I have a liberal arts degree. so do Peter Thiel and Alex Karp, and what good did that do)

I got served a video on IG where a dude on a podcast said he used to be a YIMBY until he got more educated and learned there were 70,000 vacant apartments in the Bay Area.

It'll not stop being fascinating to see people stumble through policy when there aren't partisan cues to help them along.

as far as I can tell, his "cancellation" involved not losing his job over his statements, but being boycotted by students who chose not to take his class, and then him resigning

wtf is the remedy? is the school supposed to somehow force everyone to respect him after he says something shitty?

come on, brain implants are one thing, but you can't expect us to be _magicians_
Recently wife and I stunlocked a guy who works in the bleeding edge of AI (San Francisco) and asked him if, instead of putting AGI in a brain implant, he can just start with a consumer printer that works reliably. Genuinely he did not know what to say.

While this is true, the problem is that any system is only as good as the people who execute it. The plain text of the Constitution should be curtailing Trump right now, but the humans on the Supreme Court have decided to ignore it.
