The Greens have changed, and attacks on the only left wing party are a bad look.

I rate you as a person. As a Labour MP, you're the enemy of progressive politics.

NEVER tell me you're a Labour supporter again, unless you're telling me that you're my enemy.

These MPs. Edinburgh Leith, North Northumberland, Birmingham Edgbaston, Gower, Pendle & Clitheroe, Mitcham and Morden.

All of them low-rent MPs, not the cabinet GCs. But the party is RIDDLED with them.

This is something - that's actually very obvious - we badly need politicians to be saying & respect to Mr Polanski for saying it.

Labour 'allies' - take note.

There's a word for the specific form of psychological abuse in which transphobia is disingenuously portrayed as concern, caution, or scientifically rigourous evidence:

Casslighting.

This is the most important thing you will read this weekend. Make sure you do and that you act on it. This is not a drill.

Labour’s Trans Section 28 is shameful and disgusting and, more than any else, demonstrates how low the party has fallen. Every Labour MP needs to feel the heat about this.

I've been flicking through @nicklowles.bsky.social book & it's incredibly depressing.

From what I can see it doesn't mention trans people once. Despite the very obviuos, well understood transphobia to far right pipeline.

It's the constant erasure, that belief 'trannies don't matter'

New post: LABOUR'S SECTION 28 IS HERE - ACT NOW.

I explain how the Labour government's proposed revisions to the guidance on "keeping children in education" are designed to erase trans children in England. But it's not a done deal - there is plenty we can do to oppose this.
Labour’s Section 28 is here – act now
In May 1988, the Conservative government introduced Section 28. This legal measure outlawed support for “homosexuality as a pretended family relationship” across Britain, especially in …

If you can, please donate and help us keep fighting.

Can I ask @genderedintelligence.co.uk why they are describing this horror thus:

‘It’s positive to see guidance that begins from a place of support, not exclusion".

Please ask the journalist to update to your commentary to recognise how awful this guidance is for trans kids.

Just commemorated the latest confused judgment from the High Court by taking a piss in the ladies at Carlisle Station

Next week I'll do the same at work.

Segregation can and must be resisted every day, by every one of us who is able to do so.

@genderedintelligence.co.uk what is *wrong* with you?

This guidance advocates *routine outing* - this will put YP at risk. The guidance says *nothing* about how to support YP whose families are hostile.
The entire guidance treats being trans as negative.

Your statement is so harmful

But this only takes a couple of minutes, and it's a really critical time for MPs to hear from *everyone* who wants trans people to be able to just go about their lives.

I am one of the most published academics on the childhood social transition, with 5 peer reviewed articles that relate to the topic.

There is so much evidence of benefit of social transition.

There is no evidence of harm. Not one jot.

This will literally kill trans kids. No exaggeration.

What makes Threads such an incredible film is it's uncompromising grimness.
And there's no point remaking it. It doesn't need remaking.

Any remake will be shite b/c it'll be made to have some kind of hopeful ending.
Threads director Mick Jackson has expressed worry over the upcoming remake’s focus on finding “hope even in the most challenging of times.”

“That one phrase worried me,” he tells Empire. “Hope is not part of nuclear war.”

In a functional country, this would be a scandal. A service suffering only from chronic underfunding was ripped apart because the media created a myth of 1000s of complaints of malpractice. The truth - as in my family’s experience - was very different.

What's the point in not being segregated at work if we're segregated everywhere else?

Even if you only care about yourself, as soon as you step outside work you're segregated.

Trans segregation in any form is not acceptable & should resisted at every step.
They need to at least know that some of us have got their backs.

That we won't sit back and celebrate if we achieve freedom from segregation in the workplace.

That we will notice & care about the segregation in our schools.

It is heart-breaking hearing of young people I know well who have struggled through so much adversity through their childhoods, who are now facing completely intolerable levels of discrimination.

Targeted healthcare denial.
Targeted school humiliation & segregation.
How are they meant to go on?

Every day I hear a new upsetting story about how trans kids are being treated in our schools.

When responding to today's important claim that segregation might not apply to workplaces - let's not leave behind our youngest community members who are being completely failed across our schools.
