Sober dog since 2019. I like walkable places, gardens, and compsci. Will occasionally geek out, don’t be scared. he/him. I am foremost a humanist but I do harbour the occasional doubt. Help me eliminate those. I may occasionally swear.

The Epstein coverup will go down as one of the greatest scandals and miscarriages of justice in U.S. history.

Everyone involved with Epstein’s victims or with the coverup needs to be prosecuted and go down in shame.

It does not matter if they are GOP or Dems!

Repost if you agree.

Can confirm, I did say this, over on Threads. I stand by it here as well. And everywhere else!
“Re ‘There are a lot of people on your side who will be in the Epstein Files too!’: No there aren't, my side is the ‘People Who Don't Fuck Children’ side, anyone not on this side can get all the way into the bin, what side are YOU on, exactly?” — John Scalzi

Oh, it's bad. Really bad for Donald Trump, but a win for the victims as they get closer to get some level of justice. It's also really bad for the NY Times. A paper that hammered Hillary Clinton and others when they ignored what their own reporters were doing.

i’ve said this before and i remain convinced it’s true, the 2028 platform that would deliver obama 08 results is “i am gonna
bring the hammer down on the corrupt self-dealing politicians and their rich friends and there are no sacred cows id give a pass”

If you have tenure at Texas A&M and aren't maliciously emailing the president a dozen times every day to ask if you can say this or you can say that, then what's the point in having tenure?

As @rbreich.bsky.social notes billionaires and their families own X, Paramount, CBS, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, the Washington Post, Amazon, MGM, Fox News, the Wall Street Journal and New York Post, and could soon own Warner Bros and CNN

And they are all Trump supporters

The fact that the estate released files that implicate Donald Trump, files that the DOJ/FBI have, proves that Pamela Jo Bondi and Kash Patel are actively involved in a criminal cover-up.
The Epstein files released today did not come from the DOJ's Epstein Files. They came from Epstein's estate. Pam Bondi is still protecting Trump at all costs. Today's release by Democrats was aimed at undermining her efforts. And to make it harder for Donald to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell.

Capitalists think that wealth is equivalent to virtue and this pernicious idea has firmly rooted all our minds. The people who are wealthy are, almost universally, just lucky. Wealth begets wealth, and if you start off with it; it’s easier to get more.
It’s illuminating about how people give deference to wealth and power, or the illusions of those things.

honestly one of the most striking things about epstein's emails is the fact that the man, described in many places as "a genius," is essentially subliterate

One of the funniest parts of these Epstein emails is how astonishingly fucking illiterate these elite slimeballs are. Their sincere minds are the ur-dreck that dril channeled as comedy.

This sounds to me like he’s admitting to being a fucking pedophile and honestly it fits with his other self-important bullshit writing
genuinely very few things more satisfying than reading the kinds of emails rich and famous people send each other

BREAKING: Rep. Adelita Grijalva signs the Epstein discharge petition, serving as the 218th vote to force the bill to the floor for a full vote of the House.

Too many people equate being rich with virtue that it permeates our thoughts even with vile people. “They are successful surely they have some capability in something?”. No, they are just vile husks of sociopathic humans. Capitalism is about money and money only. It is devoid of humanity.
Had the same reaction. Did I miss something where everyone rich and famous sends emails that are incomprehensible gibberish?
Seen a few of the epstein emails now, all with different people and it's not the main issue here but is everyone illiterate

This is like an assault on people. What the fuck. Why do we put up with this shit??
One CEO called the idea a “disgusting insult” and “economic genocide against the Gen Z generation.” 👀

Also, if you don’t judge people yourself then why are you worried about others judging you? If you do judge others, stop it
I don’t have a whole lot of advice for people younger than me but the earlier in life you stop worrying about what other people will think and just wholeheartedly enjoy the stuff you like the happier you’ll be
One thing people kind of tell you, but not really, about middle age:

One day you'll be like "oh [thing] looks fun but people will think I'm a loser" about a thing

And then you'll say. Wait a second.

Fuck 'em

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.
