Maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t want someone tracking how fast I get off
According to NextGenStats, Myles Garrett has an average get-off of 0.60 seconds today.

To put that in context, the fastest average by any player this season is 0.73 (It's Myles Garrett lol)

There is exactly one thing in football I’m in favor of making computerized calls about, and it’s ball through the uprights.
Panthers get a walk-off FG, the officials under the uprights apparently couldn't see the ball but the Falcons mascot faceplanted appropriately

The city so nice they named it twice: Chicago, Illinois
Hog Butcher for the World,
Tool Maker, Stacker of Wheat,
Player with Railroads and the Nation's Freight Handler;
Stormy, husky, brawling,
City of the Big Shoulders

The one time I was in New Haven in 2004, I picked up Yale’s humor paper, and it said in one story that Yale had alcohol policies “as loose as Larry Summers’s mom”

It’s one amazing thing for a small country like Iceland to succeed, but a team from a place that most people haven’t heard of? I’m rooting for them 100%
Will the Faroe Islands men’s national soccer team make it to the World Cup? The climate they train in is brutal, and most of the players have day jobs. But they've performed shockingly well against much higher-ranked opponents. nyti.ms/3LZOtkN

This is why every town needs a fronton. Nothing better than jai alai with the boys
as the husband of a mahjong addict, dudes need to identify an activity that can be done relatively easily in groups with minimal financial commitment so they can get out of the house for 2-3 hours on a school night, have two beers, and shoot the shit with their buddies.

It won't be mahjong tho.
This is excellent, and great fun to read. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...

Good lord
The only real analog I can think of to Elise Stefanik's decision to run for governor of New York in 2026 is Thích Quảng Đức, the buddhist monk who lit himself on fire at an intersection Saigon in 1963.
