* decommodify housing to solve the demand;
* deregulate building to solve the supply

All distractions to immigration and whatnot only for people who don't look into actual numbers

I often say that the republican half of the US is pretty similar to Russia. Just yet one more example: only 7 countries decided not to vote against torture. And of course, the list contains both: the US and Russia.
The UN just held a vote on ending torture, in which three countries voted against ending torture.
