Despite the amber weather warning ☔️⚠️ for Wales and the Midlands today, I made the trip to Wolverhampton to play on Alan Sherwood‘s brilliant Chechen War table with my mate @sabotag3d.bsky.social. We played two excellent games, with Al and Paul being great company. Can’t get home now though 🥲🤦🏴

It occurred to me that the Abyssal Labyrinth might actually be a pretty nice place if you ignore what the Royal Orthodoxy of Ashendeep has to say about it. @eerieseymour.bsky.social gave me the idea to make some postcards. I still need to do 'We all have to die somewhere. Why not here?'

But seriously, GWs reliance/focus on a bunch of named characters is one of the most disconnecting parts for me.
I get the franchise reasons. But in a setting of constant war & planet killing weapons, the fact that Bob keeps showing up tests my suspension of disbelief.
