It scratches the creativity & problem solving itch at the same time.
Last year I painted a test mini, a bunch of bases and got a unit up to the dry brush bone stage... then utterly burnt out and packed them away.
But now they are back! I want to paint up the unit and see if I can update the older ones a little.

Part of the reason I left was it changed, for every genuine convo there was 100 slurs, threats or proffering nonsense as 'dunk'.

The first notably Fem Stormcast miniature.
Focus of several novels and a couple of seasons of animation.
I actually preferred the version of her in her first book. When her pre stormcast past was shaped/linked not to Be'lakor but to the Sylvaneth of the Dreadwood

Those who didn't like it, pretended GW were gaslighting them about them being there before!

Either only engage with older versions, or move on.
Don't make your life raging about each change in a thing that stopped being for you ages ago or pretending doing so makes you the real fan(tm)

Even if I get the skill to one day execute the process flawlessly, its just not a look I'm into. I have a pref for more 'natural' shadows, less extreme highlights.

Does anyone one know of an earlier chainsword, or does it look like the 40k signature weapon originated in Dr Who expanded universe?
But the 1980 DWW#17 clearly introduced the Daleks Killer.and his chainsword.

With a few new books as Xmas gifts, I decided to lay out my BL collection to see how it has grown since, & it's become a pretty mighty collection.
Forgive the bad photo merge.

My parents were at one point Salvation Army Ministers (Lieutenants). The SA has a strict no drinking/gambling/smoking policy (legacy connected to the Victorian era, so that its members spent money on food/family, not "vice")
