As war approaches and an old enemy stirs, only an outcast soldier and the last member of a near-mythical order stand against the rising darkness.

THE LAST VIGILANT is out now!

It's a five-star cocktail klaxon! A White Port Negroni, proving my working theory that Italicus liqueur is the greatest cocktail ingredient ever.

‘Reports about Alderaan’s explosion are conflicting,’ reports BBC News. ‘The Emperor says a “defensive shot” was fired, while others claim the planet was destroyed in an unprovoked attack’

This perfectly demonstrates the pernicious nature of BBC two-sidism.

It almost always benefits the side with the most power.

In this case that's the side which is murdering peaceful protesters in the street, on camera, and then lying about it
The BBC coverage is absolutely terrible.

It leads on "sharply contested narratives"

It has a dramatic skew to the US government

It has posted the video but has failed to report on what it shows: it shows the US govt account is untrue

Non-stop adulting today. Cleaned the house top to bottom, did the shopping, sorted #bdog's medication at the vets. Somehow had time to bake a sourdough (8-hour process), and carve up some clear ice for our cocktails instagram. Finally sitting down at 7.45pm, wondering where Saturday went.

Watching The Rip on Netflix. Ted Hastings from Line of Duty would have a field day in Miami.

I see we've reached the, "Let's use AI to illustrate what these movie costumes *should* look like" stage of fandom.

And it always, *always* involves the women wearing less clothing.

Honestly very tired of it being the Paul Hollywood show since the current format began. I think Nigella will bring balance to the Force.
If this happens, it will make literally everything better. All of it. Everything in the world.

@nigella.bsky.social in our living rooms every Tuesday throughout Autumn - genuinely life-changing stuff.

Jupiter Ascending. But instead of Mila Kunis, it's He-Man.

Okay, I'm in.

Mentioned a few times that I've started watching WWE now and then because it's on Netflix. I bloody love when they do European shows, and especially Irish shows. The absolutely cutting crowd chants and hostile atmosphere. It makes it feel like an actual big fight night.

Has anyone ever successfully complained to Kickstarter? They have a complaints procedure, but they simply don't respond... Seems somewhat dodgy.

Trying to come up with a sinister-sounding megacorp name for A Thing, and every time I think I've got a good one, I Google it and it turns out to be a real corporation. Seriously, its like biotech, pharma, and robotics companies are just *trying* to sound like movie baddies.

I've said this before, I think. But years ago I cancelled my subscription to BBC History magazine because they kept publishing biased, anti-historical revisionist shite by Tim Stanley. And this was before he became a resident Question Time & Telegraph dickhead.

Left it till (almost) the last minute, but my tax return is done. I am basically like Bernard in that episode of Black Books where he does everything to avoid doing his taxes.

For what it’s worth I don’t use a gmail account and won’t be randomly contacting new authors enthusing about their books and giving them dodgy links to click on. There’s a new wave of author impersonation going round apparently.

Watching a TV show where a philandering psychic gets suddenly attacked by a victim's mum wielding a baseball bat.

Me: "Someone had better say, 'he didn't see that coming'."

Cops arrest woman. One says to the other: "Bet he didn't see that coming."
