Not to defend Meghan but this is reflective of a broad conservative belief, that "commonsense" things (usually that they like) are not political. They perceive certain things about the world, almost always those reflective of whiteness and capitalism, as constant, ideal, and not up for debate
This is quite literally one of the stupidest human beings alive

ICE facilities have refused to pay for medical care for all detainees since October. They have told medical providers they won't entertain any claims until April at the earliest. The number of people in detention has doubled since then, to more than 70k. These are death camps. Abolish ICE. NOW.
