The International Olympic Committee is set to ban trans and intersex women from competition. This is despite the fact that for 20 years, the IOC has allowed trans athletes to compete and only 1 has ever competed and none have ever won a medal.

Sounds like I’m joking but I’m not. We have a Special Election here in Tennessee. We have a chance to send a smart, fighter for the people of Tennessee to Congress. @AftynBehn.bsky.social is that person.

*Differences in potential ratings account for half of the gender promotion gap
*Women’s lower potential ratings do not reflect future performance: women subsequently outperform male colleagues

Remember corporate democrats did this because of their rich donors. The rich want us to spend money during the festivities. We need to do the opposite. Buy from small businesses, resellers, thrift stores, swap gifts, or make it yourself, but don't buy from big corporations.

Resign!!!
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

I just want everyone to have the experience of living in dignity with access to sufficient food, safe housing, needed medical care, high quality education, and time to engage with what sparks their curiosity and spirit

this should not be controversial 🫠

I agree with this argument. Like many, I am angry with the corporate democrats, but don't leave the democratic party as then you can't vote in the primaries. To change the party to defend people's well being we need to be hyper-engaged with the primaries. youtu.be/ScYUAvFC2sY?...

They were chosen because they are not up for reelection so they can safely piss off voters.

The only answer is you have to hold the entire caucus accountable for the surrender. Every Dem who isn't calling for new leadership ought to be primaried. That, or accept continued failure.

Assume all the yes and no votes from Dem senators are strategic and not sincere votes. The party caucus made a decision. No way to know how many were in favor. Then the caucus decided who would vote yes and no based on what would protect each of them politically the most. That’s how this works.

It’s a frightening reminder we cannot rely on many elected officials to stick up for the non-elites, for the working class, they will not stand up for the poor. We need to primary them if they lack the ability, stomach, and drive to fight for the people they represent.
Eight centrist Democratic senators just voted to reopen the government in exchange for a promise of a Senate vote on ACA subsidies.
That’s not a deal—it’s surrender.
They’ve given up real leverage
for a handshake agreement that might never happen./🧵

This is the message of a failed, feckless, and leaderless party. We need a party with backbone, and the only path to it is through a cleansing primary season. If your Dem is up for reelection, and you aren't damn sure they're fighting the fascists with everything they've got, primary the bastard.

We need to stop religious extremists/ radicals. They are going to cause so much suffering and deaths

Presumed lethal coalitionary aggression in bonobos—in this case females banded against a male who attempted infanticide.

It’s the second instance of presumed lethal aggression in bonobos (too my knowledge).
1/2 Lethal violence in bonobos

On February 18, five females fatally beat a male at the LuiKotale Bonobo Project (Congo). The authors believe this may have been due to a minor attack on a baby two days earlier. The details are horrific.
