Talk about a deep freeze! ❄️ In January 1918, Flushing Bay froze so solid it blocked vital coal deliveries to Queens. Officials tried everything to clear the ice, from horse-drawn scrapers - to unsuccessful attempts with dynamite!🧨

Reminder: Rochdale Village Library (169-09 137 Ave.) will close starting Saturday, Jan. 31 for replacement of its HVAC system.

The project will take approximately 12 months.
