We now have a bipartisan majority of members of Congress demanding a vote to extend ACA tax credits and keep health care affordable for all Americans.

Speaker Johnson, bring this legislation to the House Floor immediately or step out of the way.

Congress went home without extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits.

Now, over 20 million people are going to see their health insurance costs more than double.

Everything is already expensive. Working families can’t afford this health care crisis. https://wapo.st/3L96AVy
How the end of extra Affordable Care Act subsidies could affect you
Millions of Americans will see higher premium bills when extra covid-era subsidies on health insurance marketplaces expire Jan. 1.

For a GOP president—after the Iraq War—to say outright that invading Venezuela is all about oil is wild. But it is. It’s also about corruption, power, graft, and land. And we should take him at his word.

Today is the deadline to release the Epstein files. The DOJ is refusing to comply.

This is about justice for survivors and holding participants and co-conspirators accountable.

The Epstein Files Act is the law, not a suggestion.

Release the files. Immediately.

CPC Deputy Chair @repilhan.bsky.social: "Today’s vote on House Republicans’ warmed-over partisan policies was a disgrace. It did nothing to protect the 22 million Americans who will see their monthly premiums double on average."
House Republicans passed a health care bill that wouldn't address expiring Obamacare tax credits, all but guaranteeing the enhanced subsidies will lapse at the end of the year.
House Republicans pass health care plan without re-upping insurance subsidies
A House GOP-authored health care bill passed the chamber Wednesday night but won’t be the final word on the future of the enhanced tax credits.

CPC Deputy Chair @repilhan.bsky.social: “Tonight’s razor-thin, 211-to-213 vote on the bipartisan War Powers Resolution to end these illegal hostilities puts Trump on notice. America has no kings, and Trump has no mandate to push his unconstitutional military campaign against Venezuela."

Not extending ACA subsidies means millions of our people will have to choose between seeing the doctor and buying groceries or paying rent. GOP cruelty is not good for public health.

Horrific terrorist attack in Australia that killed at least 15 innocent people as they celebrated the first night of Hanukkah. Joy and community should never be shattered with such terror.

Many states have recognized the harm of seclusion and inappropriate restraint in the classroom and banned these practices, but this remains an issue that requires a federal solution.

Our Keeping All Students Safe Act would enact critical protections for students.
In the 2020-2021 school year, more than 50,000 public school students were restrained or secluded.

To protect students from these dangerous discipline practices, House and Senate education leaders reintroduced the bipartisan Keeping All Students Safe Act.

I’m keeping Brown students, faculty, staff, and families close to my heart during this horrific tragedy, so close to the holiday season.

No parent should have to fear for their kid’s safety at school — or anywhere. We cannot normalize this, and we cannot continue to do nothing.
