The “millionaire flight” myth is just that… a myth. And @lindsayowens.bsky.social has the data to back it up in @usatoday.com:

After New Jersey raised its top-income tax rate, 37 millionaires left the state while 3,000 more moved into the Garden State.

The cost of living crisis is deepening because the basic balance of this economy is off.

Prices are high, wages are stagnant, and policy is still tilted toward profits over people.

NEW polling: Majority of voters believe SNAP benefits have been cut & delayed because Trump is choosing to withhold available funds.

It’s no wonder why.

Just this morning, the Trump admin appealed the court’s decision to fully fund SNAP. They’re choosing to let people go hungry.

Consumer confidence just dropped to its lowest level in 3 years. Layoffs are at a 20-year high.

Meanwhile, Trump says the affordability crisis can “wait until 2026.”

Families can’t wait: rent, groceries, & credit card bills aren’t waiting.

We may not have access to all the usual job and labor data due to the government shutdown.

But one thing is clear, our Elizabeth Pancotti told @marketplace.org: “Taking all of that together, I see a very stalled labor market.”
