Since February, families in Washington state have paid more than $948 because of inflation under Trump. Despite his promises that he'd "bring the cost of everything way down," the cost of basic groceries including coffee, beef, and bananas have increased for most Americans.

I completely agree with Ron that insurance companies play a role in bringing up our high health care costs. The United States spends the most amount of money on health care out of any country, yet we don’t get the results we deserve.

I’m continuing to hold to ground for my constituents like William. He deserves his benefits as a veteran, just as he and his neighbors deserve affordable health care. We must come together as a Congress and find a bipartisan solution to this shutdown.

Uncompensated care is a huge part of what drives up costs for providers, so we are trying to cover as many Americans as possible under the Affordable Care Act to lower health care prices for all in the marketplace.
