Lived in rural and interior parts Alaska for years. Have been through days of -70 as the high temp. Trees there did not explode. Pretty sure Midwest and Northern Plains trees wouldn’t either. Would be cool though. Maybe ICE should go arrest trees for terrorism.
I've lived in Minnesota my whole life and have experienced some major cold snaps but this is the first time I've heard about exploding trees.
