Just 2 months later and Rep Nelson has announced he’s not running again, Rep Costello just got turfed out as Minority leader, Sen Shower resigned his seat in a likely fruitless quest to be Lt Gov, and three sitting Republicans showed up to the campaign opener of Rep Allard’s challenger
Alaska, in order of vulnerability:

—Rep Nelson
—Rep Costello
—Rep Vance
—Rep Allard (from another Republican)
—Rep Coulombe
—Rep Schwanke

Rep. Jason Crow's office is seeking a Capitol Police investigation into Trump for what they described as "intimidating, threatening, and concerning" social media posts.

It's highly unusual for a member of Congress to request a police investigation into a sitting president of the United States.
Scoop: Democrat requests police investigation into Trump over "threatening" posts
"All of these posts are intimidating, threatening, and concerning," Rep. Jason Crow's office wrote.

This was the easiest prediction I’ve ever made
Even better: many of these folks, most notably JA, have made ostentatious shows of loyalty to the Trump administration. And if the previous Trump admin is any guide, Trump’s approval will only drop further between now and Nov 2026.

@lauritadianita.bsky.social ’s thread about MTG from a couple months ago seems especially relevant now
🧵 I have many thoughts abt MTG standing w/ survivors against Trump. While most of it may have to do w/ her feeling used & betrayed by the party as @ericmgarcia.bsky.social explained & tbh likely her anti-Semitism is at play, I also think about survivor solidarity & the commonness of SV x party lines

Hey @taniel.bsky.social and @boltsmag.org , an #akleg race you might want to keep an eye on: a (relatively) moderate R challenging the most pro-Trump member of the state house, previously in national news for her courageous defense of…Nazi license plates

#akelect
Alaska official who defended Nazi license plates is removed from state discrimination board
Anchorage Assembly member Jamie Allard, who also served on the Alaska State Commission for Human Rights, insisted that a personalized message on the plates was a benign German translation.

The ADL probably: "It seems that the Coast Guard made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge.

In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath."

Seems like the billionaires behind Trump puppet Matt Van Epps are nervous, now dumping mountains of money into attacking Aftyn Behn with absurd fearmongering

Since MTG has resigned, the GOP House majority will go from 219 to 218 come January. There's a TN-07 special election in December that can bring that number to 217.

I just donated $10 to @aftynbehn.bsky.social to flip TN-07 and give the GOP a huge scare! Y'all should do the same!

When I was a kid growing up in Indiana we all made a big show of how ”we don’t claim Gary, that’s part of Chicago”
Yep, it’s funny when you travel and meet people, and somehow every state and region has a funny quirk of hating the place that has the most Black people nearby.
shit, speaking as a missiouri resident, if theres two places republicans despise in this state its Kansas City and St Louis

I've had a missile blow up next to my airplane, been shot at dozens of times by anti-aircraft fire, and launched into orbit — all for my country. I never thought I'd see a President call for my execution.

Trump doesn’t understand the Constitution, and we're all less safe for it.

Hey @philinvestigates.com - is anyone going to ask van epps if he agrees with the president that people who advocate that the military remember their oath and not obey illegal orders should be executed?

Seems like important information voters should know before casting their ballot.

Thanks!

Not many young people know this but it is generally pretty unusual for the president to outright call for the mass executions of elected members of the opposition party

We have 10 days to vote early! On Dec 2nd we have a chance to help Aftyn flip another seat!
