I absolutely loved this movie when it came out in the 90s, even had a VHS copy. Watched it last night (DVR'd it from TCM) for the first time in decades. It still holds up. It doesn't go where you might want it to, or answer all your questions, but that's a good thing.

After 15 years or so of off & on reading, one aborted attempt and then a restart, and many breaks to read normal books, I finally finished Ulysses. It was often puzzling and frustrating, sometimes beautiful, sometimes brilliant, and sometimes boring. It took me too long, but I fucking did it.
