I’m in Wisconsin donating monthly to this race. We’ve only had a liberal majority on our Supreme Court for the past year. Help us keep it and send a message of resistance to the country.
We don't have billions in federal subsidies to blow, but I hope you'll join me in doing what we can to keep Elon Musk from swiping the most important state supreme court race of 2025.

Administrative rules are the scar tissue of past abuses-at our house we say this when we run into complicated procedures or safety rules. Written with someone’s blood takes it up a notch -and is crucial to remember.
I love to joke about OSHA (and NIOSH) but every single OSHA regulation was written with someone’s blood

Public health has always been revolutionary-taking on existing power structures to help make the public healthier.
You may wonder why altCDC is so political. Public health is as much about the disease as it is about the society in which that disease occurs. We are battling an admin that wants to dismantle US public health, sow misinformation, devalue science, and cripple our ability to respond to health threats.

When you're made to feel like an outsider in your own country, or even told that you're "not a real American," conventional images of patriotism often seem toxic. But these symbols are yours too, and tools to adapt and use to further what you feel patriotism should be - like defending equality.
The average normie liberal American is patriotic. If you don’t try to channel that sentiment in productive and healthy ways, which can be done, you aren’t serious about winning power to stop the GOP.

1. Please call or email and share your stories about how the current administration’s actions are hurting or will hurt you personally. The Senators can use these human stories to persuade those /1

This long thread is exactly what I needed to read-effectiveness vs catharthis as a response to the current crisis. I’m seeing more calls for catharthis on Bsky but am personally oriented to effectiveness. You do you but understand the difference. .
I could try to explain part of the response and why I think this is wrong but people would just get mad and ratio it so I do not think I will
I really can’t wrap my head around congressional Democrats’ response to the past 12 days of crises. It reeks of pathetic capitulation. Trump is asserting dictatorial powers of absolute control over the entire government and the reaction is “we don’t swing at every pitch”? An appalling abdication.

There will be a protest on SUNDAY Feb. 2 at 3:00 p.m. outside the federal Office of Personnel Management (OPM) bldg., where Musk & his cyber-thugs have seized control of the government's computers. 1900 E Street NW (corner of E and 19th Sts.), Wash. DC. Spread the word to DC area folks!
