This is the best thing I've seen in a while! 🤘
SHE’S FINISHED! My 5-foot-long Enterprise D oil painting is complete after nearly 100 hours of work!

I remember being 13 years old or so and trying to draw her and it was so hard, and all I wanted was to be able to do something like this. Truly a dream come true. 🥰🖖

The shit part about most animation in America is that we keep making animators who are so goddamn passionate and skilled yet we force them to do other things because outsourcing is cheap and exploitative as all hell.
Now that the Adobe debacle has started to die down, please don’t forget about the animators. There are a lot of crafts, including animation, that have gotten the shit end of the stick during bargaining for decades. My craft is dying. We need more in house animation.

When these people say “you will not stop ICE,” it’s good to remember that they have no plan other than ‘Declare that you’re invincible so everyone gives up.’ It’s already failed!
watch us, bitch
This is an absolute threat. “You’re not going to stop ICE. You’re not going to stop Border Patrol.”

Said with the cool casual tone of a sociopath.

I am not a country music fan. But a Kentucky musician winning best country song about hating someone so much that "And if there ever come a time I got rabies, You're high on my bitin' list" is so Kentucky and honestly I really respect that.

Adding Biting List into my vocabulary lol.

Neil Gaiman is crawling out of his bog two years after sexual assault allegations to play the sweet old fantasy uncle again -- complete with name-dropping that book you like & his twee "make good art" catchphrase -- all in order to (of course) sell you his upcoming book. Don't you dare fall for it.

This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.

The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.

Happy Black History Month.

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test

Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)

Good tech.

Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)

Bad tech.

"Our standing rule is: If one of us brings up using GenAI in any of our work, then it's safe to assume we've been assimilated by The Thing and should be burned alive by Kurt Russell," said a game design consultant in the US.
Over 50% of game developers now think generative AI is bad for the industry, a dramatic increase from just 2 years ago: 'I'd rather quit the industry than use generative AI'
The latest GDC survey also found that managers are more likely to use generative AI than their employees.

Cyndi is a real one for a ton of reasons but I’ll be basic and say my fave is that she can sing pop with the best of them but she can carry a ballad too, which is where you separate the wheat from the chaff

(Also miles Davis liked her and he was a prickly sort of guy)
You know who is a little underrated historically is Cyndi Lauper, she can sing and is genuinely a big old weirdo. That’s the two most important things about modern pop stars.
