There can be real fun for players in Mos Eisley-style settings like this. I have played in games where players could bring anything and (most) people had a blast. It is also part of the charm of something like City State of the Invincible Overlord- a place where all the “monsters” of the D&D live
my least OSR take is that I like a billion different species in my games but my most OSR take is that they all have to be a b/x class.

One of my first library school papers was on this topic, but absolutely. Reading by sight and reading by listening have some really interesting differences but both are unquestionably forms of reading.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but listening to an audio book absolutely counts as “reading” a book.

In fact, I’d argue that listening to an author read their own work aloud is an exceptionally magical and even holy experience.

I love it so much. Especially as my eyesight gets worse.

Honestly, if I suddenly got rich, you'd hear from me more than ever. If I could stop working, I'd have way more time for posting.
Every now & then I see people post things like “if I suddenly got rich, you’d never hear from me again, all my socials will be deleted,” etc.

Are we forgetting everything we know about wealth, power & unaccountability? You would post constantly. Trivially. Self-destructively. Like rich people do!

The Fulton Co library was at Love Yall this weekend signing new users up AND THEY HAD OUT OF STATE SIGNUPS ($40) OPEN.

I sprinted back to their table so fast. I think I accidentally yelled "I NEED SOMETHING OTHER THAN MY TENNESSEE LIBRARY PLEASE" at the poor librarian working.

Used my tax return plus some other money I had tucked away to start building my own computer, my first desktop as an adult. I bought almost everything I need, I just have $100 left with which to buy... a GPU

BTW IMO, an underrated element of transgender venom against Gavin Newsom is his cruelty to the homeless. I think general online Dem populations may see homelessness as an abstract issue whereas trans people are very likely to see it as a potential future or current reality for ourselves/our friends

There seems to be a lot of discussion about Gavin Newsom today.

I wanted to re-share this piece that I wrote, because I have a lot of center-to-left Dems that follow me that want to understand.

There are very good reasons transgender people do not like Gavin Newsom.

I wrote a d100 random advancement table for humans. Ostensibly for my Middle-earth Hexcrawl ruleset, I think this could easily be used for any fantasy adventure game. As I think that humans are the most warlike of peoples, this list could be used for your fighter random advancements:

When you level up, you gain a random benefit based on your race or class. Here's what humans get. You can either roll a d9 for your culture ...
