The article states eventually we'll run out of young migrants, while it's true that birth rates are declining just about everywhere, climate change is going to create even more displaced people, so if we welcome people seeking asylum, a genuine population crisis is probably a century away or longer

I just did a very quick & unofficial count: since 2020, there have been 13 books by new Māori writers published (approx 6 years). In the whole of the 2010s, there were 7 new Māori writers published. Significantly, 7 of the 13 since 2020 wrote novels. Significant change!
