Welp, just found out that my grandfather who is in his 80s probably has bone and prostate cancer in addition to the pneumonia and various infections he came down with recently.
So naturally he’s a lock to be the next Democratic nominee for our House district.

It’s possible that I’m missing stuff, but I don’t get the sense that the people complaining about the injunction decision “don’t get it.” As if, once given all the details and walked through them by law professors, they’ll see it’s not so bad. I think they get it and agree with the dissenters.

The big recession red flag I’ve been experiencing lately is that 100% of the ads on my tiktok and youtube feeds are now all about either buying crypto (with a huge FOMO element involved) or how to win real money playing solitaire on my phone. Suddenly they think I’m going to be desperate soon.

Strange how we only hear about theories of an unchecked executive when Trump is in power, but these people were silent on the matter when Obama or Biden were elected to the office by greater margins.

This comes across to me a wishful thinking. Wealthy conservatives have shown, time and time again through our nation’s history, that they’re perfectly content to shrink the whole pie as long as their share of it still grows.
The only way the 'Republicans are good for the economy' image gets permanently shattered is if they run things into the ground of their own volition so hard that it can never return.

If the Supreme Court ultimately agrees with what the gov't is arguing today, that the President has broad Article II powers that would permit it to deport people & there can be no judicial review, then literally no one is safe.
