Four new designs are up on my Threadless shop in honor of this sad excuse for a holiday. They're not discounted because they're already as cheap as I can afford to make them, but they DO make wonderful gifts for any goths, creeps, and freaks you're shopping for today. ♥ thorazos.threadless.com

To get through the day at a con you need three beverages: one for caffeine, one for hydration and one with booze. So far every attempt at a three-in-one has resulted in some pretty dire consequences. But maybe not this time
Add in booze and we’ve got a thrilling new trend

If you finish a 200 page comic in under an hour you didn’t spend long enough reading the pictures
It’s much, much easier to write prose. Sure, if you compare books, comics will be thinner than most novels. And they’ll read quicker, too, probably. But the sheer amount of work that goes into them is unholy so please don’t go telling the artists “oh I read your book in 20 minutes”

“Herodotus, your friend,” is a reference to The English Patient that made a lot more sense to me at three in the morning

after writing and drawing the third skill of making comics is weathering the slog, and ultimately finishing it, and this is the hardest and most important part lmao. and needs to be practiced just as hard as the other two. and you’ll get better at the other two by practicing the third

When we say "no, everything hasn't been digitized," I need you to understand that we really mean is that virtually nothing has been digitized. This is because the realm of primary sources that historians use is incomprehensibly large.

I will NEVER vote for a politician who votes for anti-trans legislation. Never. I don't care who it is, it's a dead issue. Move on. If my vote is so important to the future of democracy they should have thought of that before they voted to exterminate my child.

Both of the Dem senators from New York are on here -- Gillibrand and Schumer FUCK YOU, find new jobs you fucking sleazeball motherfuckers -- you're fucking done.
Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

First of all drawing is 95% looking and 5% mark-making, so it helps a lot if you like to look. And once you learn to draw, you can DRAW WHATEVER YOU WANT, WHENEVER YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT, and NOBODY CAN STOP YOU. 👀👀👀
Being able to draw is really neat! I would highly recommend it to anybody who likes to look at things
