A 4-panel comic. My husband and I are having burgers in Tokyo (using utensils). My husband notices something out of frame. It's a woman, with her burger seemingly out of its box and directly on the table. He asks, "Why do you think she's putting her burger directly on the table??" Then she proceeds to unzipping her burger. It was her wallet.

One of my pet peeves is when people read 200-page comics and call them “a short comic” or “a quick read”. 200 PAGES IS NOT SHORT, don’t they know just how long comics take to make?!

I might pass out." My husband is sleeping. Finally, a stewardess hands me some kind of breakfast burrito and I say YES as I grab it. My husband sleepily opens his, but I struggle with the plastic wrap. Sweaty, panicking, I say "I can't, I can't open the plastic wrap, aaaAAAAAAA"

It’s much, much easier to write prose. Sure, if you compare books, comics will be thinner than most novels. And they’ll read quicker, too, probably. But the sheer amount of work that goes into them is unholy so please don’t go telling the artists “oh I read your book in 20 minutes”

A 4-panel comic. Airplane lavatories have always scared me because of the way they flush like toilet black holes. We see a toilet and a huge "FLUSH" onomatopoeia that seems to suck everything in. On the second panel, I'm using the airplane toilet on the plane to Japan, a 13-hour flight. I'm tired. As I lean backwards and sigh, there's a "tik'" sound, and I realize I've just activated the motion sensor flush.

It took our oldest daughter a while before she understood how to keep the magic alive. But now they're both in the know and it's a huge weight off my shoulders.

On the next panel, the bottom of the tree doesn't have ornaments anymore, but the cat still can reach. The ornaments are progressively moved to the top of the tree until the cat looks at them, out of reach.

Hi! I drew a comic called Utown, that features a bunch of friendly punks in a quickly gentrifying neighbourhoods. It's a heartfelt, gritty tale of unlikely friendships, belonging, and making it as an artist, somewhere in the mid 90's The comic is FINISHED, in French in English :)

A 4-panel comic. The last week of November, my oldest daughter's 1st grade teacher gave us a stapled document with cute Christmas messages supposedly written by elves, reindeers, Santa, etc. The goal was to collectively, as parents, hide one message per day in our children's belongings until Christmas, pretending they were from Santa et al. But on December 1st, just after I'd hidden the first note, my kid came to me and said "I know Santa isn't real, and that you buy us presents." So the last panel is me having a glass of wine with a huge content smile, while the stapled document is in the recycling bin.
