Indianapolis showed up to stand against extremism. To stand up against MAGA. To stand up against Donald Trump.

We are the resistance.

The biggest thing we need to do is let people know that the protests are FUN. Yelling fuck the man is fun. You will meet fun people.

We also need to make them more fun. Bring grills like the French. Bring instruments like it’s Mardi Gras. Give people a reason to spend their weekend in the streets.

I did a thing.

We talked to DJ D-Nice on All Things Considered and looked back at the impact he had during the pandemic 5 years ago when he decided to play some music on IG Live. Which later became “Club Quarantine” with 100K viewers in one night.

Please check it out.

My new favorite account 🤘🤩🎸🥁
AC/DC. “Whole Lotta Rosie.” 1979. An incredible moment — the band happy to step back and let Angus Young take the floor, while still feeding him the energy he needs. And then, when Bon Scott ‘interrupts’ w/ the chorus reprisal, Angus just uses it as a springboard to launch into space. This is magic.

"Trump and Musk want kids with cancer to die" is maybe the absolute pinnacle example of "it would all be very unpopular if we could convince people it was happening."
This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

🧵 The DoD is erasing history by deleting references to non-white, non-male service members, & by removing information about the Civil War and topics they consider to be "DEI" or not totally positive portrayals of white Americans. We must not forget the many minority SMs who have fought for the USA.
The Defense Dept has deleted references to Black, Hispanic & female service members as well as topics such as the Civil War from its website in order to remove all references to diversity, equity, & inclusion.
