Consistent regular reminder that empathy for your fellow human being is a huge act of resistance. Care about people beyond just your friends and family. Care about strangers you've never met. Show them daily kindness. Remind everyone that suspicion and hosility should not be the baseline.

I'm pleased that our city library advisory board includes a land acknowledgement at each meeting.
I'm not pleased that members of our community are fighting a land trade between the state land office and the Mescalero Apache nation.

Like yes, land acknowledgements shouldn't be the end point of activism and awareness regarding indigenous people. We should push people to do more. But we should also never cede the "performative" ground. Esp in times where the performative is still a threat to the fascists.
