2024 really did not go to plan. I started with a new tech job & planned to put my cross stitch on the back burner...until I got laid off in May! So I doubled down on my Patreon, started a BookTube channel & had a wildly unexpected year. So excited for what next year will bring ❤️‍🔥 #art

Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.

I feel the urge to post my favorite Dragon Age art again because I added some essential details that I felt were lacking (Assan and Manfred 🥺)

can I just say, during hard times, sometimes the only way to keep going is to live out of spite. don't let them have the satisfaction, you can't.

Take care of yourself tomorrow.
Do something nice for yourself. Watch movies, play games, make art, keep your hands busy. You don’t have to watch this horseshit. Not even if a guy online tells you you gotta in all caps.

Just FYI, administrative warrants (like the ones used by ICE) are not judicial warrants (used by cops, signed by a judge).

You do NOT legally have to open the door for an ICE officer with an administrative warrant *no matter what the ICE officer says.*

i avoid commenting on celebrity passings due to the parasociality of the thing but David Lynch was an artist’s artist and a reminder to never explain yourself (when you don’t want to). one of the greatest filmmakers to ever do it.

David Lynch is my favorite artists' favorite artist, my favorite writers' favorite writer. Watching Twin Peaks for the first time felt like coming home to the weird, existential, creepy, silly, spooky town of my dreams. Let's all get a damn fine cup of coffee, two cokes & a cookie 💔

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

For SoCal friends,

Here is a list of resources for shelter, animal boarding, free items, and distribution hubs. These places can also use donations (e.g., food, water, masks, and blankets). Please consider donating if you can.

not sure if some people understand that part of what makes creating so rewarding is the fact that it *is* hard. It doesn’t matter if you’re been painting or writing for 80 years— every piece will have problems that need solving, and few things feel better than figuring it out.
