Hello, followers new & old. I'm Norm, and I tell adventure stories about talking animals, scary monsters, and sometimes even talking animals meeting scary monsters. I'm usually pretty social media averse, but I like the vibe developing around here. Maybe I'll try a little harder.
A mongoose and a snake are engaged in a tense stare down. A tween girl is confronted by an almost Yeti-looking beast with a rain cloud suspended above his head. Four modern adults bathe in light as they're teleported inside a mysterious location. A raccoon and an otter struggle with each other as they both try to claim possession of a blood soaked blade that's in both of their hands.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I am founding a not-for-profit website where independent comic creators and small publishers can easily sell their works to libraries, plus provide other services. Called (for now) the Comics Librarian Commons, this will be an online hub bringing independent creators and librarians together.

In The Muppet Christmas Carol, right at the start of the Fozziwig party, a random Muppet walks through frame and declares Merry Christmas in a gruff, almost Dr. Teeth-y voice. I'm convinced it's old Jim Henson audio, but I can't find confirmation.

Think about this. Did you hear trans panic headlines in the 2000s? No.

Conservatives weren’t “worried” about trans people until the day they lost on Marriage Equality.

Once they realized most of us are just fine with gay marriage, they needed a new wedge issue and started attacking trans people.

I’m rewatching Mad About You & theres a joke where Ursula the ditzy waitress mistakes a recurring character for a post-op trans woman and immediately talks about how great she looks now, then deadnames her as part of a running joke at Ursula’s expense. In 1995. The great trans scare is manufactured.
