Second Amendment activists in shock as Charlie Kirk shot instead of just schoolchildren
OREM, UT - Americans who champion the right to bear arms were shocked Wednesday as controversial commentator Charlie Kirk was shot and killed, as opposed to the ordinarily acceptable trend of mass shootings in schools.

Best comment on Jay Bhattacharya that I've read to date.
Motherfucker wrote one sloppy paper in April 2020 and instead of being like oops, shit, my bad, he has kept doubling down until now he's killing most promising medical technology of the past quarter century rather than going to therapy.

Why are some still spreading misinfo that "masks only work when everyone wears one," & use it as an excuse not to mask as "no-one else is."

It isn't all or nothing. While it's safer when more mask because there's less virus in the air, a well-fitting mask protects you even if no-one else masks.

A Quebec fisherman who was fishing 15 kilometers north of the US border was essentially kidnapped by US Border Patrol, who capsized his boat and dragged him to an American prison cell.

In any normal time this'd be quite the international incident, y'know?

My mother died of COVID complications along with a secondary infection.
Its been two months but I do not think I have or will ever have enough words for the rage I feel for the minimizers, deniers, the states and conspiracy theorists who demonized protective measures and told us it was all "over"
He was admitted after he fell and injured his arm. But because there are absolutely zero transmission protocols in hospitals and they let disease fly around and don’t require masks he got Covid there and died.

This is not a unique story. Last I read 30% of Covid cases are hospital-acquired.

The richest country in the world can afford Medicaid.

The richest country in the world can afford food assistance.

There’s no reason for the cruel and dehumanizing cuts in this big bill.

It’s fascism. It’s cruelty for cruelty’s sake. It’s a cull to accelerate ethnic cleansing.

In the comics and games industry an artist or writer can literally create a multibillion dollar IP, known and loved by billions, and then die in poverty trying to crowdfund for medical care and housing.

And some asshole goes "hm, have you tried making art in exchange for money?" to artists

People can’t process the fact that we’re all only temporarily abled.

Ableism is so ingrained that disabled people have been placed firmly in the “other” box. Blamed for their condition. Excluded.

Everyone believes it won’t happen to them.

It can. It likely will. Engage in disability justice.
