This makes my skin crawl to read. Just so deeply embarrassing out infuriating. Print this out and mail it to your reps. Read it to them on their voicemails. They all need to feel unimaginable shame until they finally grow the collective spine to - at the very least - call for new leadership.

If you give me and my friends @docseuss.bsky.social, @michigrim.bsky.social, Cameron, @elmore.zone like ten days of Sora money, we could produce the wildest first person shooter made in years AND it would actually be profitable.

Here’s How Much Cash OpenAI Is Burning On AI Video App Sora. What It Means
Some back-of-napkin math suggests OpenAI is spending more than a quarter of what it’s making to power the AI slop factory.

Doing some tests on the mobile games I'm working on, and it's kinda wild to me that the Pixel 3 XL's from 2018 has a higher PPI than the Pixel 10 Pro XL from this year. Like, I'm not a person who cares about screen resolution on my phone, but this is your flagship expensive luxury device Google!!

I gushed a bit about Hypnospace Outlaw in our monthly recommended games for Minimap! I also have to say Abzu is a lovely little game as well, so I'd give that a look too.

this one appears to be a) extra long and b) aimed at more or less me exactly. if you're curious about the intersection of text, dialogue, and plot in gamedev - this is great stuff
YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT! I HAVE WRITTEN A NEW ARTICLE!

this one's a bit weird; rather than doing my usual "trying to organize my thoughts and building a winding case that builds on itself," I decided to show you what my EARLY article creation process looks like:

some loosely organized thoughts about dialogue sysin games
think of this as me trying to find out what parts of dialogue choices are load bearing game design and what else can be done with dialogue.

I'm not entirely sure what I thought of THRASHER but it's certainly a unique experience and it's officially out now with Linux / Steam Deck support.

Can like, the west coast actually just secede? Or maybe everything from CO west? Or all but DC? Or like... everything but a 2ft x 2ft square under each and every government representative currently elected and every billionaire? Idk I just think that'd be cool. They can keep their lil' squares.

Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?

Not that he didn’t already know, but now Trump knows for sure he can roll the Dems every time and there’s no need to negotiate for anything

I'm not the first person to notice this, but there are so many services that have been relatively stable for decades that are now having weird dumb problems and I'm certain it's because of CEOs trying to shoehorn in AI and it making stupid mistakes and breaking shit, and it sucks.
