Happy New Year, Indies! Like a never-ending rougelike, a year starts anew, bringing on fresh possibilities and lessons learned from the previous run. The start of the year is a bit slow, but we’ve got some things to put on your calendar… 2025 was another challenging year for the games industry in general, more layoffs, lack of funding, job displacement through new technology and global political changes.

Ho-ho-ho, Indies! Tis the season! 2025 was a big year for Seattle Indies! As we move into the final month of the year we look back at all of the growth and accomplishments. As we enter our 10th year as a nonprofit organization it was exciting to see our Meetup group break 10,000 members! We can't wait to celebrate our 10th year throughout 2026 with you as we look forward to the next 10 years and our next 10,000 members.

Hello Indies! We hope you’re embracing the cooling of the weather and the spooky season! Things are about to get a lot darker a lot sooner, so a good time to cozy up and work on some games… We have made the decision to postpone the Games and Education Industry Collider until early next year.  This is due to some scheduling and timing challenges, pushing it a few months will enable a better overall experience for most people.
